Khoá Tu OI: Nghệ Thuật của Lòng Từ Bi
Dear Friends,
The 2023 OI retreat will take place from the 19 th to the 23 rd of April. Special for this year, the retreat will include the participation of Sister Chan Khong and the Plum Village delegation at Blue Cliff Monastery.
Sister Chan Khong was one of Thay’s first students, and one of the first six members of the Order of Interbeing. She is like a Bodhisattva with a lot of compassion, devoting her whole life to serving people who lack love and material things. Her presence at the retreat helped us decide this year’s theme: The Art of Compassion.
Our world today has a lot of suffering. As a member of OI order we cannot close our eyes to people’s suffering. We have to reach out to those in need and serve them with skillful compassion.
We need to learn the art of compassion from our eldest sister in the practice.
We would like to invite you to come to participate in this retreat. Together we go as a river. With our energy of compassion, we can alleviate the suffering of the world and heal our planet too.
This is our annual retreat for Order of Interbeing members and formal OI aspirants.
The Order of Interbeing is a community of monastics and lay people who have committed to living their lives in accord with the Fourteen Mindfulness Trainings. This five-day retreat is a chance for OI members and aspirants, both monastic and lay, to strengthen our practice, deepen our connection as a community, and explore ways to nurture and strengthen our aspiration to live beautifully and mindfully in the spirit of togetherness.
Note: An aspirant must have already begun his or her aspirancy and must have a current OI mentor who is an ordained Dharma teacher.
