Dear Beloved Friends and Benefactors of Blue Cliff Monastery,
As winter begins, the monastic and multifold community of Blue Cliff Monastery send our deepest
gratitude and warmest wishes of peace and well-being to you and your family.
Thank you, our close friends and practitioners who have been present, and who have practiced with
Blue Cliff Monastery over the years. We, the monastics, are deeply grateful for your love and support.
Your generous contributions, filled with compassion and understanding, continue to inspire us on our
path of service and practice. Together, we are sharing the practices in communities, as well as
collectively fostering a healthier way of life for society. This journey of practice and healing benefits
not only ourselves, but, also, those we love.
Blue Cliff Monastery has become a beautiful and peaceful refuge thanks to your contributions and
collective efforts. Several construction projects are being gradually completed, including the
construction of Moon Lake Nunnery, which is the sisters’ residence. This construction has progressed
halfway thanks to the support of lay practitioners and friends near and far. However, the construction
still requires your continuous and wholehearted contributions so that the sisters will soon have a
stable and healthy place to live and practice. We sincerely send our deep gratitude to all of you who
have generously supported Blue Cliff Monastery, and we humbly wish for your continued support to
help us complete the Nunnery.
On Thanksgiving and during the Holidays Season, we wish you all, the known and unknown, much
peace, happiness and warmth in your body and mind. May you enjoy every moment with your loved
ones and your family.
With love and trust,
On behalf of the Blue Cliff Monastery,
Sister Hoa Nghiêm (Sr. Flower)
