A guide on how to register for any stay in Blue Cliff Monastery

General Stay (outside of Special Retreats)
Throughout the year our doors are open to receive guests. You can come for a stay outside of our Retreat Program. We encourage you to come for a minimum of one week in order to really settle down, to relax, and to have the opportunity to thoroughly absorb the practice. It is also possible to come for a weekend. A stay longer than two weeks will require formal request from you in the form of a letter and a decision made by the community.
(Please note that each retreat on our program may have different arrival days. Also, after each retreat, the community will be closed for a few days to clean up. You may contact us to find out about these dates.)
Please note that Blue Cliff Monastery will be closed for a General Stay from July 30 - August 20, 2010, because of Special Retreats in the Tour 2010. If you would like to have more information about these retreats, please go to our Events Section.
Completed registration forms can be emailed, mailed by post, or faxed to us. To register, please send in a deposit (minimum of $50) to reserve your place.
"Happiness is the Way" (US Tour Retreat 2010)(August 04 - 08, 2010)
We have only 180 beds for dormitory in our center and the rest are camping & RVs. Accommodations are simple rooms, most have 3-8 beds sharing with private bathroom. There are no single rooms available. The contribution is towards food, lodging, utilities, and tuition for per person for the whole retreat. It is best to register before July to ensure a place at the retreat.

Mindful Creative Arts Retreat (September 25 - 28, 2010)
You may register for the retreat by email, fax or mail. Please register soon as some housing types quickly fill. A few rooms with 3-beds, 4-beds, 5-beds are available for family. It is best to register before Aug 03 to ensure a place at the retreat. If you are camping, please bring your own tent and camping gear.
How to fill out the registration form:
If you would like to share a room with a specific person, please register on the same form. If you do not specify a roommate, we will assign roommates by gender. For each person in your group or family, print the full name on the form. Please use an extra sheet as needed. Please indicate the age of all participants less than 18 years of age to help us with housing assignments and to better coordinate the children’s and teens programs. We will be sending your confirmation information to the person and address filled out at the top of the registration form.
