What's happening at Blue Cliff Monastery

From July 30 until September 10, Blue Cliff Monastery will only open the doors for two special events: A Mindfulness Retreat "Happiness is the Way" from August 04 - 08, and a Special Day of Mindfulness on August 15. For both events we will have the presence of some brothers and sisters of Deer Park Monastery.

Celebrating 1,000 Years

In the year 1010, one thousand years ago, the first king of the Ly dynasty founded Thang Long, the city now known as Hanoi. The Ly dynasty has been described as “the most compassionate, peaceful and harmonious in the history of Vietnam” by the eminent historian Hoang Xuan Han. This, he wrote, was “thanks to the influence of Buddhism."
